The leaves I chose to use were from my tree filled back yard. They were brown and starting to rot, but I found their shape interesting. The rounded edges and curved spines added a lot of character to them. The stems are my favorite part of this drawing. I realized how important values are. Where the leaf folds over or was hit by light was most difficult to show. I learned how important detail is, and that is what I will work to show better next time.

  1. Abby,
You showed nice dark value on shading and that is never easy to do. you sllso have the leaves in very realistic shapes. I know if you spend more time all other things will happen on your pieces
